Carry the Load

Come join the Carry The Load Relay team along the West Coast Route of the 2018 National Relay. Meet us at the Fort Hood 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment Headquarters to greet the relay team as they stop to gather for the Fort Hood Texas Rally.

  Vietnam Veteran, Silver Star and Purple Heart Recipient
• Comments by Veteran Todd Boeding, Carry The Load
• Comments by Tom Palladino: Executive Director of the Texas Veterans Commission
• Comments by Lt. Mike Perez of the Bell Country Sheriff Department
• 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment demonstration
• Retiring of The Colors - First Team Honor Guard
• Pizza and Beverages served by Fort Hood USO, Music by Carl Hutchens
• 5 p.m. event concludes.
  Relay Team departs led by The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association

** In the case of inclement weather the event will move to the nearby covered arena and the Horse Detachment demonstration will be cancelled.
