Fort Hood's Child and Youth Services (CYS) programs will expand the phased reopening of school age care (SAC) and additional child development center (CDC) facilities, pending increase in space utilization.

Based on the requirement for CYS to implement the practice of social distancing measures, there will be a reduction in the number of available child care spaces in each facility. During this expansion of phase one, the priority for child care will be afforded to children of previously approved mission essential in support of Fort Hood COVID-19 and CYS enrolled patrons in the following military Family types as defined by Department of Defense priority:

a. Active Duty Combat Related Wounded Warrior (Priority 1A)

b. Child and Youth Direct Care Employee - Single/Working Spouse (Priority 1 B)

c. Single/Dual Active Duty and Single/Dual Guard/Reserve on Orders (Priority 1 C)

d. Active Duty with a Working Spouse (Priority 1 D)

 

Fitness Centers

Harvey, Starker and West Ft. Hood Fitness Centers Open

Monday through Friday 5-9 a.m. and 4-8 p.m., Active Duty only.
Expect limited operations with limited capacity and no locker rooms, showers or saunas. Face masks / coverings are required if 6 ft. of distance cannot be maintained.

Outdoor Pools
Comanche and Patton pools are open for fee-based recreational swimming at a limited capacity, Friday through Sunday 12-8 p.m. and Open to All. No locker rooms or showers are available and face masks are mandatory if 6 ft distance can not be maintained..

 

BOSS Program
Monday through Friday 12-7 p.m. - Face masks or coverings are required if 6 ft. distance cannot be maintained.

 

 

Leisure Travel Services
Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Face masks or coverings are required if 6ft of distance cannot be maintained.

 

West Fort Hood Travel Camp

Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area

Open 24/7 to DoD ID card Holders for Day-use, RV, Camping Sites, Mountain Biking and Kayak Rentals. Face masks or coverings are required if 6 ft. distance cannot be maintained.

 

Casey Memorial Library

Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Face masks or coverings are required if 6ft of distance cannot be maintained.

Place your order by 9 p.m. Sunday & pick-up/return on Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m

 

Apache Arts and Crafts
Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Face masks or coverings are required if 6ft of distance cannot be maintained.

 

Community Events and Bingo Center

Sportsmen's Center and Grill
The Sportsmen’s Center LIMITED OPERATIONS - Face Covering Mandatory if 6 foot distance cannot be maintained - Starting 18 May the snack bar will be open Mon thru Fri from 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (to include Friday Fish) Dine-in (50% Capacity) or Carry-out. Call ahead to place your order for pickup 254-532-4552. The Pro Shop will be open Mon thru Sat 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. for Fishing Permits, Hunting Permits, Area Access Permits, Live & frozen bait and Pro Shop retail items. -- The Skeet Range is open with limited operation Saturdays 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Practice social distancing and stay home if you are sick.

 

The Courses of Clear Creek and Snack Bar

Open Daily 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. with 18 holes and driving range available.
One person per cart unless from the same household. Carts are sanitized after each use will not have sand bottles or coolers. Rental clubs will not be available. No chairs or bag stands will be on the driving range. Snack Bar is open for dine-in or carry-out M-F, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Sat-Sun, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

 

Phantom Warrior Lanes and Strike Zone Snack Bar
Open Tuesday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Face masks or covering are required if 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained.
